Pauline will be giving an overview of Lynch Syndrome UK at the Chemoprevention and Immunotherapy Workshop. The charity is now into its second year. She says:

“We have big ideas but a very large task. Many of our members raise money and raise awareness about Lynch syndrome. We are building up files of information that are comprehensive and medically based but written in plain English so that there is something for everyone to read and learn.

Much of our work is on social media and we are trying to harness the views and enthusiasm of people of all ages. Our facebook support page has 650 members and this is a hub of activity: lots of medical and genetic questions, mutual support and sharing of experiences, good and bad.

We attend patient days organised by clinical genetics teams and we will soon have our second annual conference. We are looking forward to evolving what we do with the NHS. We are proud to be part of the Lynch syndrome worldwide family.”
