Pål Møller

Profile photo of Pål MøllerPål Møller MD was educated as medical geneticist. He has a PhD in HLA genetics (Oslo 1984) and has had professorial competence in Denmark since 1990. He was the first physician to hold a position for prenatal diagnosis in Norway in 1982.

He established and chaired the outpatient cancer genetic clinic in Oslo from 1988 to 2012, chaired the Group for Research on Inherited cancer from 2012 to 2018, and since 2018 has been a senior scientist at the Norwegian Radium Hospital, Oslo. He is guest professor at Witten-Herdecke, Germany.

He has published around 200 scientific papers on inherited cancer. He was first author of the European consensus 1999 on how to implement BRCA testing in health care.

He is an actively contributing member to BCLC, ENIGMA, ICG-HNPCC, InSiGHT, InSiGHT VIC, EHTG (formerly the Mallorca Group), HVP and Pi to PLSD which is hot-linked by InSiGHT/LOVD database to determine penetrance of path_MMR alleles (www.plsd.eu) for clinical use.
