Anna Rosén

Senior consulting physician and medical specialist in clinical genetics at the Hereditary Cancer Unit, Regional Cancer Center at Umeå University Hospital, Sweden.

She is currently directing the Swedish national multi-centre study ‘Direct information to at-risk relatives – a randomised controlled trial’ (the DIRECT study). The study will compare and evaluate current clinical practice of family-mediated disclosure of hereditary risk with a direct approach including healthcare-assisted risk disclosure for improved cascade screening in common hereditary cancer types.

Dr Rosén is a principal investigator at the Department of Radiation Sciences at Umeå University and junior research grant recipient. She has a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health, with research focusing on evaluation of interventions in both the general public and in clinical practice.

She is also a Medical coordinator at the Public Health Unit of Region Västerbotten for the ‘Västerbotten intervention programme’ – an ongoing county-wide health promoting initiative addressing lifestyle factors and cardiovascular risk factors since the 1980s.
