Isabel Quintana

Isabel Quintana is a PhD student in Laura Valle’s group at the Hereditary Cancer Program of the Catalan Institute of Oncology, IDIBELL (Barcelona).

She joined Valle’s group in 2017 during her Master’s thesis in Advanced Genetics. Since then, she has worked on the genetic predisposition to polyposis, including the characterization of the RNF43-associated serrated polyposis (Quintana et al. Gut 2018), and the NTHL1-associated syndrome (Belhadj, Quintana et al. SciRep 2019).

Her current research is focused on several candidate genes for colorectal cancer and polyposis predisposition, and she also collaborates in a project to identify new genes for hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia.
